Welcome to FMC Solves!

If you don’t know what FMC is, you should at least know what a Rubik’s Cube is. FMC (Fewest Moves Challenge) consists in solving a given scramble (that is, bringing a given configuration of the cube to the solved state) in as few moves as possible.

FMC is recognized as an official event by the WCA and official competitions are held regularly (take a look at the WCA regulations for official rules). In addition, an online weekly competition is held at http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~dadams/fmc/.

The goal of this blog is to gather good FMC solutions from both official and unofficial competitions (or just solutions to random scrambles) as well as tutorials (I’m working on one at the moment) to help the reader improving their FMC skills.

Happy FMC,
Sebastiano Tronto
